Axillary Sonography of the Shoulder: An Adjunctive Approach.

Sonography of the shoulder is widely used to assess various disorders, including tendinous diseases of the rotator cuff and the long head of the biceps brachii muscle. The shoulder is commonly explored through anterior, superior, and posterior approaches, but the inferior axillary approach is rarely considered in the literature. However, this technique allows the direct visualization of relevant anatomic structures.

Ultrasound biomechanical anatomy of the soft structures in relation to the ulnar nerve in the cubital tunnel of the elbow.

Background: Chronic ulnar nerve entrapment worsened by elbow flexion is the most common injury, but rare painful conditions may also be related to ulnar nerve instability. The posterior bundle of the medial collateral ligament (pMCL) and the retinaculum, respectively form a soft floor and a ceiling for the cubital tunnel. The aim of our study was to dynamically assess these soft structures of the cubital tunnel focusing on those involved in the biomechanics of the ulnar nerve.

Value of Round Ligament Artery Embolization in the Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of embolization of the round ligament arteries in the management of postpartum hemorrhage.

Materials And Methods: Eleven women (mean age, 31 y) underwent round ligament artery because of persistent or recurrent hemorrhage after initial uterine or internal iliac artery embolization.

Results: A total of 16 round ligament arteries were embolized.
