Burnout and stress-related issues are significant concerns among medical personnel involved in emergency situations due to the high demands of their work. A cross-sectional descriptive and comparative study was conducted on 266 prehospital emergency personnel across five Romanian counties, comprising 41 physicians, 74 nurses, and 151 paramedics. Data were collected through an online form, including demographic and professional characteristics, and five validated scales.

Still, in a substantial proportion of patients, these investigations do not identify any substrate, and the PVCs are labelled as idiopathic. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) has proven in the last decades as the method of choice for the exploration of patients with cardiomyopathies, since it can identify subtle changes in the myocardial tissue and help with risk stratification.

Treatment of the infection induced by this bacterium can be a challenge considering that some strains have developed resistance to most classes of antimicrobials. The use of bacteriophages to alleviate infections caused by has demonstrated their potential for both internal and external applications.

These cyclic oligosaccharides have medical and pharmaceutical applications by being able to form inclusion complexes with molecules that are poorly soluble in water. The benefits of these complexes are directed towards improving the chemical and biological properties-i.

We prospectively studied the presence of symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease in naïve patients who underwent atrial fibrillation ablation.
Methods: The presence of typical symptoms suggestive of gastroesophageal reflux disease was clinically assessed by the gastroenterologist at baseline and at 3 months after ablation.
Paraplegic patients have always been ideal candidates for physiotherapy due to their body's inability to recover on its own. Regardless of the cause that led to the onset of paraplegia (traumatic or degenerative), physiotherapy helps these patients with devices and methods designed to restore the proper functioning of their motility, as well as their quality of life. A total of 60 paraplegic dogs without deep pain in the hindlimbs caused by intervertebral disc extrusion or thoracolumbar fractures underwent physiotherapy sessions: manual therapy (massage), electrostimulation (10-20 min with possible repetition on the same day), ultrasound therapy, laser therapy, hydrotherapy, and assisted gait in supportive devices or on treadmills to stimulate and relearn walking, which was the main focus of the study.

Objectives: This study evaluated the perception of general practitioners (GPs) about value and practicalities of implementing screening for AF, focusing on opportunistic single-time point screening with a single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) device.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with a survey developed to assess overall perception concerning AF screening, feasibility of opportunistic single-lead ECG screening and implementation requirements and barriers.
Spaceborne radars offer a unique three-dimensional view of the atmospheric components of the Earth's hydrological cycle. Existing and planned spaceborne radar missions provide cloud and precipitation information over the oceans and land difficult to access in remote areas. A careful look into their measurement capabilities indicates considerable gaps that hinder our ability to detect and probe key cloud and precipitation processes.

Methods And Results: All data were collected from the Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Long-Term registry, a prospective, multinational study conducted by the ESC-EORP European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) under the EURObservational Research Programme (ESC-EORP). A total of 104 centres in 27 European countries participated.
Objective: Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is the most common complication following cardiac surgery, with increased risk of stroke and high mortality. Our aim was to identify patients at risk and to design a model that could predict POAF.
Methods: In this single center study, we evaluated 1191 patients requiring isolated surgical aortic valve replacement between January 2000 and June 2014.
Tunable reaction selectivity on a single catalyst is a continual goal in chemical syntheses. Herein, we report an unexpected light-directed intermediate selectivity using well-known plasmonic photocatalysts. We observed distinct intermediate selectivity behaviors between using UV and visible light irradiations.

We aimed to assess this association via parameters of heart rate variability in time (SDNN) and frequency (low-frequency (LF)/high-frequency (HF) ratio) domains by 24-hour electrocardiographic (ECG) Holter monitoring.
Materials And Methods: One hundred thirty-five patients were prospectively included by a joint team consisting of a gastroenterologist and a cardiologist on the basis of the patients' complaints.
The Global Precipitation Measurement satellite's Microwave Imager (GMI) and Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar (DPR) are designed to provide the most accurate instantaneous precipitation estimates currently available from space. The GPM Combined Algorithm (CORRA) plays a key role in this process by retrieving precipitation profiles that are consistent with GMI and DPR measurements; therefore it is desirable that the forward models in CORRA use the same geophysical input parameters. This study explores the feasibility of using internally consistent emissivity and surface backscatter cross section ( ) models for water surfaces in CORRA.

The non-compaction cardiomyopathy is a rare disorder which is considered to be an unclassified cardiomyopathy according to the ESC Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases and the World Health Organization or a primary genetically-determined cardiomyopathy according to the American Heart Association. The diagnosis of non-compaction is challenging and its nosology is debated since this morphological trait can be shared by different cardiomyopathies and non-cardiomyopathy conditions.

The complexation of different groups of active substances with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) has drawn considerable interest over recent years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ketoprofen/β-cyclodextrin (K/β-CD) conjugate complex as well as to assess its anti-inflammatory effect after oral administration (doses of 30 mg/m(2) and 15 mg/m(2) of body surface), compared with ketoprofen.

Ti alloys such as TiAlZr are used as implant biomaterials, but, despite the good behavior of such alloys in simulated conditions, bacterial infections appear after the introduction of an implant into the body. The infections are typically caused by the adherence and colonization of bacteria on the surfaces of the implants.

The ability of compounds to inhibit the microbial adherence ability to the inert substratum as well as their cytotoxicity was also assessed.

Lead titanate (PT) ceramics co-doped with 8 to 13 mol% Ni-Nb, by substituting titanium ions, were prepared by conventional ceramic method and the influence of Ni-Nb doping level on their morpho-structural, electromechanical and dielectric properties was investigated. Dense tetragonal PT ceramics were obtained for 8 to 12 mol% Ni-Nb co-doping. Lattice anisotropy decreased from 1.
