Purpose: To assess the agreement on biometric data obtained using the Verion image-guided surgery system and the swept-source-OCT biometer IOL Master 700.
Materials And Methods: All patients underwent biometry using the SS-OCT and the Image-Guide System. The comparison between instruments was assessed using the Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).
Purpose: To expand the knowledge regarding the clinical presentation of endophthalmitis.
Methods: We included six cases of endophthalmitis between January 2018 and December 2020. From all cases, we collected general demographic data, relevant medical, ophthalmological history, microbiological and antibiotic sensitivity results.
Introduction: The purpose of this study is to report a case of venous-air embolism during a vitrectomy for endoresection of choroidal melanoma.
Case Description: A 31-year-old man went to the clinic because of photopsias and vision loss in his right eye. On fundoscopy of the right eye, a choroidal mass with an associated retinal detachment was found near the inferotemporal vascular arcade.
Purpose: To describe the primary cancer sites and clinical features of choroidal metastasis in Mexican patients.
Methods: This was a retrospective, observational, and multi-center study. Data were recollected from 6 ophthalmological hospitals in Mexico from patients with choroidal metastasis diagnosed from 2000 to 2018.
Background: Choroideremia is an X-linked chorioretinal dystrophy caused by mutations in the gene. The main differential diagnosis is X-linked retinitis pigmentosa. Clinically, male patients that are affected by these two diseases have similar symptoms.
