The case of a 59-year-old Caucasian man who presented with a 6-week history of intermittent blurring of vision and diplopia is reported. Fundoscopy revealed asymmetrical, bilateral optic disc swelling with peripapillary haemorrhages. An initial CT scan and D-dimer level were reported as normal.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTrastuzumab has become the standard of care in the management of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-overexpressing breast cancers, both in the metastatic and adjuvant setting. Emerging data show continued efficacy of the drug even after disease progression in combination with chemotherapy. While cardiotoxicity is well recognized with trastuzumab, unusual pulmonary toxicities are becoming apparent.
