Jaundice due to iprindole.

Twenty-one patients treated for depression with iprindole developed evidence of liver damage: 15 were jaundiced, five had bilirubinuria, and one had pruritus. These complications occurred between four and 21 days after initial exposure to the drug. All patients recovered.

A case of the Dubin-Johnson syndrome complicated by acute hepatitis.

A patient is described in whom the Dubin-Johnson syndrome was diagnosed after an attack of acute hepatitis at the age of 21. In the eight years following the hepatitis Dubin-Johnson pigment, initially scanty, developed to classical proportions. The defect in intracellular transport of bilirubin was thought to precede the attack of acute hepatitis.

Real-time multiplexing of dispersed spectra in any wavelength region.

A multiplex technique is described that is binary in nature and that can be used in the observation of a dispersed spectrum in any wavelength region for which a detector exists. The subsequent data processing involves the minimum possible number of operations and can easily be carried out in real time. The number of observations that must be made is also a minimum, equal to the number of spectral elements.
