Introduction: Impaired intestinal microvascular perfusion following resuscitated hemorrhagic shock (HS) leads to ischemia-reperfusion injury, microvascular dysfunction, and intestinal epithelial injury, which contribute to the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in some trauma patients.
