This article compares the rheological and tribological properties of three ionic liquids: Tributyl(methyl)phosphonium dimethyl phosphate 97%-MFCD, 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate 97%-BMIMPF6, and 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate 98%-BMIMBF4. Their density and kinematic viscosity at 20 °C and 40 °C were investigated, and tribological tests were carried out at the same temperatures with ball-on-disc contact. Methods: In this prospective study, all-stage cancer patients registered in the Network Oncology registry were enrolled, and their bQL at diagnosis was evaluated.
Background: Chronic cancer-related fatigue is difficult to manage in breast cancer survivors. The tango trial showed that a six-week tango Argentino program was effective in reducing fatigue and improving quality of life, and here we investigated the sustainability of this tango program for breast cancer survivors.
Methods: Stage I-III breast cancer survivors with increased fatigue symptoms were analyzed.
Background: Kinetic asymmetries during sit-to-stand have been consistently observed early after total knee arthroplasty; however, the longer-term outcomes are less clear. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the results of studies examining inter-limb kinetic symmetry during sit-to-stand performance among individuals who were at least one-year post unilateral total knee arthroplasty.

Motivation: Investigating the 3D structure of chromatin provides new insights into transcriptional regulation. With the evolution of 3C next-generation sequencing methods like ChiA-PET and Hi-C, the surge in data volume has highlighted the need for more efficient chromatin spatial modelling algorithms. This study introduces the cudaMMC method, based on the Simulated Annealing Monte Carlo approach and enhanced by GPU-accelerated computing, to efficiently generate ensembles of chromatin 3D structures.

The paper determines the properties of geopolymer pastes based on metakaolin and soda-lime waste glass. The density, alkaline activity, strength and microstructure of the reference geopolymer, as well as geopolymers with a 10%, 30% and 50% soda-lime waste glass content instead of metakaolin, were tested. The experimental results indicate that the properties of the geopolymers with waste glass largely depend on the ratio of the liquid to solid substance.

This was the question that Professor Diederik Wiersma asked PW on a sunny spring day in 2012, when they first met at LENS-the European Laboratory of Nonlinear Spectroscopy-in Sesto Fiorentino, just outside Florence in northern Italy.
