Background: The Wound Care Collaborative Community (WCCC) aims to assess current usable real-world data (RWD) sources to determine which real-world databases (DBs) are suitable and usable for studying the natural history of chronic wounds. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) do not fully reflect the complexity of patients with chronic wounds. Using RWD, establishment of a scientifically grounded "road map" for RCTs is needed to better navigate the real-world complexity of the patients with chronic wounds.

Sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC) is death of a child ≥ 12 months old that is unexplained after autopsy and detailed analyses. Among SUDC cases, ~ 30% have febrile seizure (FS) history, versus 2-5% in the general population. Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) pose a significant challenge in wound care due to their chronic nature and impaired healing processes. This study examines the biogenic amines and small molecule metabolites present in DFU wound exudates to identify their potential roles in wound healing. Paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity (PSH) syndrome is a potentially life-threatening complication after traumatic brain injuries that results from a massive release of catecholamines in the brain. Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is a complication of long bone fractures that results in cerebral or pulmonary fat emboli. Background & Aims: Patients with colorectal cancer who are more socio-economically deprived have worse outcomes; deprivation is also associated with higher obesity rates, defined as a body mass index (BMI) of greater than thirty. Background: Incorporation of umbilical artery Doppler in the surveillance of fetal growth restriction has been shown to reduce the risk of perinatal deaths. Systole/Diastole ratio, Pulsatility Index and Resistance Index are obtained upon Doppler interrogation of the umbilical artery however it is unknown which index predicts more advanced stages of placental deterioration.

This factorial study was part of a project examining potential welfare challenges for cull sows in the pre-slaughter logistic chain, and examined effects of journey duration and presence of a longer pre-planned stop half-way during journeys on their post-transport clinical condition. The sows were transported 4, 6 or 8 h under conditions modelling typical Danish practice.
