Aim: To compare the European Standard test system with the fluorescence assay and to validate the rapid test system, including particularly the quantitative suspension test.
In the past years infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria have dramatically increased in all parts of the world. Cells were grown in non-agitated tryptone soya broth as well as on tryptone soya agar according to national and international standards for evaluating chemical disinfectants.
