Introduction: Inappropriate antibiotic use and spread of resistance is a well-known problem, and medical students have indicated they want additional education on appropriate use of antimicrobials. We introduced a series of short whiteboard animation videos on empiric antibiotic selection as a supplemental resource for fourth-year medical students during a transition to residency course.
Methods: A total of eight whiteboard animation videos on empiric antibiotic selection were created using Camtasia.

Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)-producing esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) is an extremely rare occurrence with very few cases reported in the literature. We report the case of a 76-year-old female who presented with progressive weakness, fatigue, and a decrease in appetite for weeks and who was found to have an AFP-producing EAC with an extraordinarily high AFP level of 46,135 ng/mL. CT angiography revealed abnormal thickening of the esophagus and multiple metastatic masses throughout the liver.

Most medical schools lack formal education on LGBTQ health, particularly for adolescent patients.
Methods: We developed an Introduction to LGBTQ Health course for fourth-year medical students as part of a monthlong Ready for Residency curriculum in March and April of their graduating year.
Background: Students with physical disabilities continue to face barriers seeking entry into nursing programs even as the nursing profession advocates vigorously for the rights of these individuals.
