Increasing participation in alternative payment models such as episode-of-care has become a driving force to improve outcomes while decreasing cost. Reducing the hospital length of stay and discharging patients to home have been shown to decrease readmissions, thereby achieving these goals. The purpose of this study was to determine if utilization of a patient management support system, TAVHealth™ in our clinical pathway would reduce our readmission rates during the episode-of-care.

It has become a common practice to obtain weight-bearing radiographs for the assessment of early-stage osteoarthritis of the knee, and weight bearing with the knee in full extension has been the most common method. Other methods for evaluating knee joint space using weight-bearing radiography include the Rosenberg and 20/10 views. Eighty consecutive patients with knee pain were evaluated with standing Rosenberg and standing 20/10 views as part of their radiographic evaluation.

Two different methods for femoral component rotation in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were compared with regard to the need for lateral retinacular release and 3-year follow-up knee society scores of both patellofemoral function and 3-year radiographs of the patella.
