If two or more mesiodens are present, they are termed mesiodentes, indicating the presence of multiple supernumerary teeth in the midline. These often cause aesthetic disharmony in the anterior teeth due to their abnormal position, leading to extraction in most cases and resulting in midline diastema when impacted or partially erupted.
