Polycyclic heterocycles are the most common and critical structural motifs found in a variety of natural products, medicines, fertilizers, and advanced materials. Because of their widespread use in biologically active compounds and material chemistry, functionalised dibenzo heterocyclic compounds, especially dibenzofuran, dibenzothiophene, and carbazole derivatives, garnered much attention over time. Scientists are especially interested in elucidating more efficient techniques for developing these industrially essential compounds.

Nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), an inducible transcription factor in phase II metabolic reactions, as well as xenobiotic response pathway, is referred to as 'master regulator' in anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and xenobiotic detoxification processes. The activity of Nrf2 is tightly regulated by KEAP1, which promotes ubiquitination, followed by degradation under homeostatic conditions and also allows Nrf2 to escape ubiquitination, accumulate within the cell, and translocate in the nucleus upon exposure to the stresses. The Nrf2 pathway has shown an intrinsic mechanism of defense against oxidative stress (OS).

Parkinson's disease is a chronic and gradually progressive neurodegenerative disorder triggered due to the loss of dopamine-releasing neurons in the region of substantia nigra pars compacta characterized by the motor symptoms, such as tremor, bradykinesia, akinesia, and postural instability. Proteinopathies, mitochondrial dysfunction induced dopaminergic neuronal deterioration, and gene mutations are the hallmarks of Parkinson's disease. The bioactive components of Brahmi, such as Bacoside A, Bacoside B, and Bacosaponins, belong to various chemical families.

Nicotianamine (NA) is one of the metal-chelating molecules found in higher plants in abundance. Synthesized by the enzyme nicotianamine synthase, NA has a major role in the transport of iron in plant tissues. This research paper deals with the coordination chemistry of the possible complexes of NA, [Fe (NA)], and [Fe (NA)] in detail, from a theoretical standpoint.

Chronic wounds cost several billion dollars of public healthcare spending annually and continue to be a persistent threat globally. Several treatment methods have been explored, and all of them involve covering up the wound with therapeutic dressings that reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process. In this present study, morin (MOR) was loaded onto hydrogel scaffolds prepared from psyllium seed husk polysaccharide (PSH), and human hair keratins (KER) crosslinked with sodium trimetaphosphate.
