Effect of dehydrozingerone, a half analog of curcumin on dexamethasone-delayed wound healing in albino rats.

Oxidative stress is triggered by the wound which results in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby delaying normal wound repair. Therefore, it is important to reduce the level of ROS to improve healing. A known antioxidant, dehydrozingerone (DHZ) was synthesized and selected for the study.
