Following the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan, China in 2019, there has been multiple waves of different variants of COVID-19 throughout the world in the continuum of a pandemic. This study aims to compare different clinical and laboratory parameters of hospitalized patients in Omicron-driven 3rd wave vs Delta-driven 2nd wave in India. A 40-year-old male presented because of generalized weakness, fatigability, and hyperpigmentation with ecchymosis, he was diagnosed to have dietary Vitamin B12 deficiency anemia. The hyperpigmentation and ecchymosis lesions resolved after Vitamin B12 supplementation. Beside hyperpigmented lesion on the skin, the presence of ecchymosis is a very rare manifestation of the disease.

Spontaneous soft tissue haematomas are rarely found in haematological malignancies. Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disorder which rarely present with thrombo-haemorrhagic phenomenon. It is a malignant clonal disorder of pleuripotent stem cells that results in increase in myeloid, erythroid and platelets cells in peripheral blood and marked myeloid hyperplasia in bone marrow.
