Objectives: To describe the systematic development of a physiotherapist led group behaviour change intervention targeting physical activity and sedentary behaviour in individuals who have undergone bariatric surgery.
Study Design: Intervention development including evidence synthesis, qualitative research and mapping of intervention components, using the 2008 MRC framework for complex interventions.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review to identify the evidence for promising interventions and components to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour following bariatric surgery.

Objectives: The European Union Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) process aligns with the regulatory process to promote faster patient access. The PICO (population, intervention, comparator, and outcome) scoping for the JCA must occur before the regulatory process concludes. The risk of indication change during this period is one of the concerns for the success of the JCA process.

Pain is a multifaceted and interconnected experience. Assessment tools designed specifically for this population are needed.

Exploring effective methods of addressing this is essential. This study aims to discover current nursing practice in this area of care as the first of a four-phased appreciative inquiry study, to inform further research and practice.

There is an emphasis on early, timely diagnosis and treatment options for people with a dementia yet wait times from referral to diagnosis have increased. Neuroimaging performed by radiologists is utilised to support dementia diagnosis and some patients will already have a CT scan from a pre-existing condition such as stroke.

Methods: In this retrospective, observational, cohort study we assessed patients with active ulcerative colitis who received filgotinib in NHS Lothian, Scotland.
A history of infection has been linked with increased risk of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and related myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Furthermore, AML and MDS patients suffer frequent infections because of disease-related impaired immunity. However, the role of infections in the development and progression of AML and MDS remains poorly understood.

Background: People with profound intellectual disabilities are a population with complex comorbidities. Total pain recognises the interconnectedness of aspects of pain; social, psychological, physical, emotional, spiritual. Pain is under-recognised due to communication challenges and carers perceptions.

The context-specific interpretation and mitigation of uncertainty remain major challenges for decision makers. Following the 2021 HTAi Global Policy Forum, a cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary HTAi-DIA Working Group (WG) was initiated to develop guidance to support stakeholder deliberation on the systematic identification and mitigation of uncertainties in the regulatory-HTA interface.

Aim: To explore social prescribing practices and experience of implementing social prescribing programmes across National Institute for Health and Social Care Research (NIHR) Collaborative Leadership for Applied Health and Care Research (CLAHRC) North West Coast (NWC) and NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) NWC region to identify key learning points that can be applied to other settings.
The solution properties of two different glycoforms of IgG1 (IgG1Cri and IgG1Wid) are compared using primarily sedimentation equilibrium analysis with two complementary analysis routines: SEDFIT-MSTAR and MULTISIG. IgGCri bears diantennary complex-type glycans on its Fc domain that are fully core fucosylated and partially sialylated, whilst on IgGWid, they are non-fucosylated, partially galactosylated and non-sialylated. IgGWid is also Fab glycosylated.

(2) How was knowledge mobilisation achieved? (3) What are the key elements that enhance the process of coproducing equity-sensitive evaluations?
Methods: A thematic analysis of qualitative data obtained from focus group (FG) discussions and semistructured interviews exploring the experiences of participants. All FGs included representation of participants from different projects across the programme. Interviews were conducted with a member from each of the teams participating in the first cohort after their final workshop.
Introduction: Vaccination with Vi capsular polysaccharide (Vi-PS) or protein-Vi typhoid conjugate vaccine (TCV) can protect adults against Typhi infections. TCVs offer better protection than Vi-PS in infants and may offer better protection in adults. Potential reasons for why TCV may be superior in adults are not fully understood.

These changes have the potential to limit the ability to participate in patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) for some public contributors. It is therefore important to understand public contributors' preferences, so that remote working can be organized in an optimal way to encourage rather than discourage participation.

Background: This paper considers remote working in patient public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in health and social care research. With the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic and associated lock-down measures in the UK (from March 2020), PPIE activities switched to using remote methods (e.g.

The binding of viral antigens by antibody can initiate the classical complement pathway. Since complement could play pathological or protective roles at distinct times during SARS-CoV-2 infection we determined levels of antibody-dependent complement activation along the complement cascade.

The aim of this study was i) to determine the proportion of people with mental stability and volatility during the pandemic in a North West England city region sample and ii) to establish group differences in psychosocial variables. Mental stability and volatility refer to the extent to which individuals reported change in levels of common mental health symptoms over the course of 12 weeks.

We investigated whether these M-proteins and FLC are detectable in myeloma patients' saliva to evaluate its utility for non-invasive screening and monitoring of haematological malignancies.
Methods: A total of 57 patients with monoclonal gammopathy and 26 age-matched healthy participants provided paired serum and saliva samples for immunoglobulin characterisation and quantification.
Background: Bariatric surgery promotes weight loss and improves co-morbid conditions, with patients who are more physically active having better outcomes. However, levels of physical activity and sedentary behaviour often remain unchanged following surgery.
Objectives: To identify interventions and components thereof that are able to facilitate changes in physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
Introduction: Increased physical activity and reduced sedentary behaviour can encourage favourable outcomes after bariatric surgery. However, there is a lack of evidence as to how to support patients with behaviour change. The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of a physiotherapist led, online group-based behaviour change intervention to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour following bariatric surgery.

This study investigated whether a local general practice incentive-based quality improvement scheme launched in 2011 in a city in the North West of England was associated with a reduction in all-cause emergency hospital admissions. Difference-in-differences analysis was used to compare the change in emergency admission rates in the intervention city, to the change in a matched comparison population.

Owing to this hinge length, the molecular structure of full-length IgG3 remains elusive, and the role of the two conserved Fc glycosylation sites are unknown. To address these issues, we subjected glycosylated and deglycosylated human myeloma IgG3 to multidisciplinary solution structure studies.
