Children may not know, or cannot tell, what is causing their psychosomatic symptoms. Methods are outlined which may help paediatricians to see what goes on in children's minds and also help children to express it. For some children, such expression may itself be healing: for others, further help will be needed.

The present study investigated the sleeping behavior and preferences of a group of six adolescent chimpanzees at the Delta Regional Primate Research Center in Louisiana, USA. The study sought to relate sleeping partner preferences to other aspects of social relationships. Comparative observations between those chimpanzee behaviors seen in the wild and in this group are noted.

One-hundred and seventeen patients were studied and the results of the immunological estimations were found to be of value in the differential diagnosis of liver disease when considered in conjunction with clinical and other laboratory findings. The results of the study are of interest in discussing the possible pathogenesis of liver disease.

Two discharged themselves prematurely, four defaulted from follow-up, and seven who for various reasons were discharged before completing their treatment have since regained weight. After a mean follow-up period of nearly 18 months 8 of the remaining 12 remained near their weight on discharge.
