The circumstances under which species diversify to genetically distinct lineages is a fundamental question in biology. Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus) is an extremely abundant zooplanktivorous species that is subdivided into multiple ecotypes that differ regarding spawning time and genetic adaption to local environmental conditions such as temperature, salinity, and light conditions. Here we show using whole genome analysis that multiple populations of piscivorous (fish-eating) herring have evolved sympatrically after the colonization of the brackish Baltic Sea within the last 8000 years postglaciation.

We report the development of a range of air-stable Pt(II) (salicylaldimine)(phenylpyridyl), [Pt(sal)(ppy)], complexes as photoinitiated hydrosilylation catalysts. Some of these catalysts show appreciable latency in thermal catalysis and can also be rapidly (10 s) activated by a LED UV-light source (365 nm), to give systems that selectively couple trimethylvinylsilane and hexamethylsiloxymethylsilane to give the linear hydrosilylation product.

Added NMeH , or the direct use of [Rh(L1)(NMeH )][OTf], is required for initiation of catalysis, which is suggested to operate through the formation of a neutral hydride complex, Rh(L1)H.

We aimed to understand patient satisfaction with telephone consultations. Patients who had undergone a cardiology telephone consultation between 24 February and 19 July 2021 were asked to complete a survey.

Patients' experiences of occupational therapy within a multidisciplinary pain management programme: A qualitative study.

Background: Occupational problems are common for adults experiencing chronic pain, but occupational therapists are not always accessed as part of the multidisciplinary team. Despite evidence of benefit for work-focused interventions, there is limited evidence for broader benefit from occupational therapy interventions within the context of multidisciplinary pain management. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of programme attendees who received structured intervention from an occupational therapist as part of a multidisciplinary pain management programme, and gain an understanding as to how they felt it influenced changes they made to occupational participation.
