Liver cancer represents a complex and severe ailment that poses tough challenges to global healthcare. Transcriptome sequencing plays a crucial role in enhancing our understanding of cancer biology and accelerating the development of more effective methods for cancer diagnosis and treatment. In the course of our current investigation, we identified a total of 1,149 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), encompassing 499 upregulated and 650 downregulated genes, subsequent to prunetrin (PUR) treatment.

Methods: High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (MS) were used to analyze the compounds in GLE.
Cancer is a deadly disease caused by cells that deviate from the normal differentiation and proliferation behaviors and continue to multiply. There is still no definitive cure, and many side effects occur even after treatment. However, apoptosis, one of the programs imprinted on cells, is becoming an important concept in controlling cancer.

Recent studies suggest that gut microbiota may affect sleep quality with certain bacteria and metabolites being linked to sleep patterns. However, the underlying chemical signaling pathway remains unclear.

The antioxidant effect protects us from this damage, which also plays an essential role in preventing inflammation. Inflammation protects the body from biological stimuli, and pro-inflammatory mediators are negatively affected in the immune system.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory condition caused by the disruption of the intestinal barrier. The intestinal barrier is maintained by tight junctions (TJs), which sustain intestinal homeostasis and prevent pathogens from entering the microbiome and mucosal tissues. Miller () is a natural substance that has been used in traditional medicine as a therapy for a variety of diseases.

Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) was caused by the administration of ethanol to male C57/BL6 mice who were given a Lieber-DeCarli liquid diet, including ethanol. The alcoholic fatty liver disease mice were orally administered ESF (100 and 200 mg/kg bw/day) or silymarin (50 mg/kg bw/day), which served as a positive control every day for 16 days.

In this study, we examined how the anticancer effect of DTX is regulated by polyphenols extracted from Korean L. (pKAL) in DU145 prostate cancer cells (mutant p53) and HCT116 colorectal cancer cells (wild-type p53).

Worldwide, liver cancer is the most frequent fatal malignancy. Liver cancer prognosis is poor because patients frequently receive advanced-stage diagnoses. The current study aimed to establish the potential pharmacological targets and the biological networks of scutellarein (SCU) in liver cancer, a natural product known to have low toxicity and side effects.

Neuromuscular diseases (NMDs) are a genetically or clinically heterogeneous group of diseases that involve injury or dysfunction of neuromuscular tissue components, including peripheral motor neurons, skeletal muscles, and neuromuscular junctions. To study NMDs and develop potential therapies, remarkable progress has been made in generating in vitro neuromuscular models using engineering approaches to recapitulate the complex physical and biochemical microenvironments of 3D human neuromuscular tissues. In this review, we discuss recent studies focusing on the development of in vitro co-culture models of human motor neurons and skeletal muscles, with the pros and cons of each approach.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a poor prognosis and a low survival rate. Drugs without side effects are desperately needed since chemotherapy has a negative effect on the host cells. Previous research has firmly established that plant-based compounds have significant bioactivities without a negative impact on the host.
