Introduction And Objectives: To analyse the increase of arterial stiffness over a five-year period and its relationship with cardiovascular risk factors and sex-based differences in a Spanish population without cardiovascular disease.
Methods: Longitudinal study. Analysis of the increase in arterial stiffness measures evaluated with SphygmoCor and Vasera of 480 subjects followed for 5 years of the 501 subjects included in the baseline evaluation, selected through random sampling stratified by age and sex, mean age of 55.
Unlabelled: The Mediterranean diet (MD) plays an important role in delaying vascular aging. The main objective of this study was to analyze the association between adherence to the MD and vascular aging estimated with brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (ba-PWV) in a Spanish population sample and the differences by sex.
Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study.
The positive effect of AM3, spermidine, and hesperidin, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, on immunity is known, but their effect on the rate of aging, known as biological age (BA), is unclear. This work aims to test if the intake of a blend of AM3 (150 mg), spermidine (0.6 mg), and hesperidin (50 mg) for 2 months could decrease BA and improve immunity, redox, and inflammatory states.

Malnutrition in critically ill patients represents a major concern as it can lead to adverse outcomes including increased morbidity and mortality. These patients exhibit an impaired immune response accompanied by increased oxidative stress. Nutritional support, including parenteral nutrition (PN), is critical in these patients.

Methods: Retrospective observational study analysing clinical improvement and vascular ulcers surface area variation after topical application of sevoflurane. Inclusion criteria were patients with painful vascular ulcers refractory to usual therapies and who were treated with topical sevoflurane for at least 36 months.
Objectives: The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between the Mediterranean diet (MD) and vascular stiffness and metabolic syndrome (MetS), as well as its components in individuals over the age of 65, overall and by sex.
Methods: The subjects of the study were people over 65 years of age, with a full record of all variables analyzed from the EVA, MARK, and EVIDENT studies. Data from 1280 subjects with a mean age of 69.
Minimally invasive cardiac valve replacement surgery (MICS) is a technique that has reported equivalent rates of mortality and reintervention when compared to conventional median sternotomy (CS). Additionally, MICS has inconsistently been reported to be associated with fewer postoperative complications, better cosmetic outcomes, and shorter hospital stays at the expense of longer surgical time, aortic clamp time, and extracorporeal circulation time. When comparing populations undergoing MICS vs CS at the Ignacio Chávez National Institute of Cardiology (INCICh), it was proven that there is a longer surgical, extracorporeal circulation, and aortic clamp durations in the MICS intervention, but no statistically significant difference in global mortality.

Background: The progression of central blood pressure (CBP) values and central hemodynamic parameters and its relationship with cardiovascular risk factors is quite unknown. We sought to investigate this association in a Spanish adult population without cardiovascular diseases.
Methods: Prospective observational research with a 5-year follow-up.
This study investigated the influence of social media on patients regarding aesthetic dental treatments according to sex, type of treatment, and time since their last treatment. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a web-based survey. Participants were students over 18 years of age who were social media users and had undergone aesthetic dental treatment.

Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 501 individuals aged 35 to 75 years were recruited from five health centers by random sampling stratified by age and sex (55.90 ± 14.
Purpose: To review and analyse the available literature on peripheral administration of noradrenaline (NA) with the aim of providing recommendations to ensure correct use and patient safety.
Methods: Systematic review on the databases PubMed, ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS, and Science Direct, using the following search terms: ("Noradrenaline" [Mesh]) AND ("Norepinephrine" [Mesh]) AND ("Vasopressors" [Mesh]) AND ("Peripheral infusions" [Mesh]) OR ("Extravasations" [Mesh]). A total of 1040 articles were identified.

Background: In this study we analyzed the association between physical activity and sedentary lifestyle with vascular aging in Spanish populations aged 35-75 years.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was developed, in which 501 subjects aged 35-75 years were recruited. Physical activity and sedentary time were measured with an accelerometer (Actigraph GTX3) for a week.
Unlabelled: The main objective of this work is to investigate the relationship between the Mediterranean diet (MD) and metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its components in Caucasian subjects between 35 and 74 years. The secondary objective is to analyze sex differences.
Methods: A cross-sectional trial.
Dental wear arises from mechanical (attrition or abrasion) and chemical (erosion) factors. Despite its prevalence and clinical significance, accurately measuring and understanding its causes remain challenging in everyday practice. This one-year study with 39 participants involved comprehensive examinations and full-arch intraoral scans at the start and after 12 months.

Background: Eyelashes play a crucial role in self-image and ocular protection. Enhancements to their structure are of both cosmetic and clinical interest.
Aims: To assess the efficacy of a peptide and glycosaminoglycan-based eyelash enhancer serum in improving eyelash structure.
Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) is a potent and selective pulmonary vasodilator with a safety concern due to rebound pulmonary hypertension (PH) associated with its withdrawal. We report short-term pulsed iNO in patients with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and nonoperable chronic thromboembolic PH (nCTEPH). This is a retrospective analysis of 33 patients: 22 with PAH and 11 with nCTEPH.

Background: Behavioral and substance addictions are prevalent health problems that, alongside obesity, are linked to reduced physical activity and increased sedentary time. Similarly, arterial stiffness and vascular aging are processes that begin gradually at an early age and are closely associated with morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases. The main objective of this study is to analyze how addictions are related to obesity and body fat distribution, physical activity, sedentary time, arterial stiffness and vascular aging, as well as sleep quality, cognitive function and gender differences in young adults aged between 18 and 34 years.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of ChatGPT in generating answers about removable dental prostheses (RDPs) and tooth-supported fixed dental prostheses (FDPs).
Mast cells (MCs) can release a variety of biologically active mediators under different circumstances, such as fever or vaccination. Our aim was to evaluate the incidence and severity of MC activation symptoms induced by SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19) infection and vaccination in a cohort of 92 pediatric patients with cutaneous mastocytosis. Our findings support previous evidence on the safety of COVID-19 infection and vaccination in patients with MC disorders.
