A randomized blind study to assess effectiveness of peptide bioregulator Chitomur® in aged female patients with hyperactive bladder was conducted. The drug influence on urodynamic parameters and life quality of women with hyperactive bladder of the age of 48-80 years was researched. It was stated that Chitomur® administration cause not only to the decrease of imperative feelings of urination and episodes of urgent incontinention but significant improvement of bladder condition.

The effect of the drug on the main urodynamic parameters, symptoms dynamic of the lower urinary tract function disturbances, prostate volume and the quality of life of men with benign prostatic hyperplasia in age from 62 to 83 years was evaluated. It was found that the course application of peptide bioregulator Chitomur in elderly and senile patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia significantly improves the basic parameters of urination.

37 patients with BHPG (average age 76) underwent transurethral laser coagulation of the prostate 23 of these had acute retention of urine. In all the patients urination was restored by the 5-th day after the operation. Thus the laser coagulation should be considered a method of choice in BPH patents with grave recurring pathology including urgent cases.
