The title compound, CHClN, crystallizes with one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, the mol-ecular entities are assembled through strong N-H⋯N hydrogen bonding, forming supra-molecular chains extending along the axis direction. These chains are inter-connected by offset π-π stacking inter-actions and consolidated by halogen-π inter-actions.

Methods: We conducted genotypic resistance testing on 915 HIV sequences sampled from viremic self-reported antiretroviral therapy (ART) experienced and naive PWID and MSM recruited from 21 cities across India in 2016-2017. We analyzed factors associated with resistance using logistic regression and evaluated evidence for transmitted resistance using phylogenetic analyses.
Two salts of 1,9-di-hydro-purin-6-one (hypoxanthine), namely, 6-oxo-1,9-di-hydro-purin-7-ium 5-sulfosalicylate dihydrate, CHNO·CHOS·2HO, (), and 6-oxo-1,9-di-hydro-purin-7-ium perchlorate monohydrate, CHNO·ClO ·HO, (), have been synthesized and characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction and Hirshfeld analysis. In both salts, the hypoxanthine mol-ecule is protonated at the N7 position of the purine ring. In salt (), the cation and anion are connected through N-H⋯O inter-actions.

The model is designed in such a way that it is trained with necessary features for optimal modelling of the cancer detection. The method involves preprocessing of computerized tomography (CT) images for optimal classification at the testing stages.

In general, 9-anilinoacridine derivatives play an important role in antitumor activity due to their DNA-intercalating properties.

Methods: We conducted a prospective multicentre diagnostic accuracy study at 19 primary healthcare centres and seven reference laboratories in Peru, India, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea to estimate the diagnostic accuracy of the point-of-care Truenat MTB, MTB Plus and MTB-RIF Dx assays for pulmonary TB using culture and phenotypic drug susceptibility testing as the reference standard, compared with Xpert MTB/RIF or Ultra.
The asymmetric unit of the title coordination polymer [Zn(CHNO)(CHN)] , consists of one Zn cation, one bidentate 1-indole-5-carboxyl-ate (I5C) anion and half of a 4,4'-azobi-pyridine (Abpy) neutral ligand. In the coordination polyhedron, the Zn ion adopts a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The coordination polymer is stabilized by a combination of N-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions, which leads to the formation of wave-like two-dimensional coordination polymeric layers.

The experimental geometry (XRD), vibrational (IR and Raman), electronic (UV-visible) and NMR spectra of (S)-4-(4-Amino-benzyl)-oxazolidin-2-one (ABO) have been corroborated with the corresponding first principle calculated values at DFT using hybrid B3LYP exchange correlation functional invoking 6-311++g(d, p) basis set. The optimized geometrical parameters were found to be in satisfactory agreement with the experimental values obtained from the X-ray diffraction structural features of ABO. The scaled down computed vibrational frequencies with appropriate scaling factors were in good correspondence with the experimental observations.

Through subgenomic sequencing of viruses present in residual plasma from an HIV/HCV prevalence study conducted amongst PWID across five cities in India in 2016-2017, a total of N = 498 HCV and N = 755 HIV strains were classified from N = 975 study participants. Considerable HCV diversity was identified, with different strains predominating in each region of the country.

Objective: The objective of this study is to develop a pooling based algorithm for the combined identification of virologic treatment failure (VTF) by nucleic acid testing (NAT) and DR by sequencing - NAT+DR assay.
Objectives: Examine HIV-1 plasma viral load (PVL) and genital tract (GT) viral load (GVL) and drug resistance in India.
Methods: At the YRG Centre for AIDS Research and Education, Chennai, we tested: PVL in women on first-line ART for ≥6 months; GVL when PVL >2000 copies/mL; and plasma, genital and proviral reverse transcriptase drug resistance when GVL >2000 copies/mL. Wilcoxon rank-sum and Fisher's exact tests were used to identify failure and resistance associations.

We have analyzed reverse transcriptase (RT) region of HIV-1 pol gene from 97 HIV-infected children who were identified as failing first-line therapy that included first-generation non-nucleoside RT inhibitors (Nevirapine and Efavirenz) for at least 6 months. We found that 54% and 65% of the children had genotypically predicted resistance to second-generation non-nucleoside RT inhibitors drugs Etravirine (ETR) and Rilpivirine, respectively. These cross-resistance mutations may compromise future NNRTI-based regimens, especially in resource-limited settings.

Lack of HIV-1 viral load monitoring in resource-limited settings leads to the development of HIV drug resistance mutations, although WHO recommends viral load testing for monitoring as this helps in preserving future treatment options and also avoid unnecessary switching to more expensive drugs. A total of 101 patients attaining first-line treatment failure (FTF) were followed until second-line treatment failure (STF) to study the rate of accumulation of thymidine analogue mutations (TAMs), their future drug options, and genetic evolution. The result shows that predominant nucleos(t)ide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) mutations were M184V/I (87.
