Educational research into socio-economic dynamics of university graduate employment: Triple analogy-based physics-and-engineering approach to labor market oscillations.

Background: Better student understanding of the dynamic trends in graduate employment requires the development of the author's description of this multidisciplinary social problem.

Objective: This educational paper is focused on an author-proposed engineering-friendly description of oscillatory dynamics in the employment market for university graduates.

Methods: This didactical paper widely uses computational methods of oscillations theory, theory of electrical and hydraulic circuits as well as concepts of physical analogies and similarity.

[Thoracoscopic treatment of esophageal atresia in infants].

Atresia of esophagus result in absolute lethality without surgical treatment. Posterolateral thoracotomy is a traditional access during such operations, however thoracoscopic methods esophageal atresia has come into practice. Since 2008 all infants (n=22) in our clinic with esophageal atresia have been operated on thoracoscopically.

[Urgent laparoscopic surgeries in children of the first year of life].

One hundred and ninety-two urgent laparoscopic operations in 179 infants (including 31 newborn infants) were performed. Indications for surgery were intestinal obstruction (108 children), acute diseases of abdominal organs (61), and gynecological diseases (10). The rate of conversion in 3 groups was 10.

[Method of continuous intravenous postoperative analgesia with promedol in newborn children].

Continuous intravenous infusion of promedol, 0.1 mg/kg, with additional boluses, 0.5 mg/kg, was used as postoperative analgesia in 20 newborns.

[Diagnostic and therapeutic tactics in various forms of cholangiopathies in children].

Seventy children with obstructive cholangopathy were examined in the clinic in the recent 15 years: 48 children had "cholangiopathy of the newborn" and 22 had a cyst of the common bile duct. A total of 44 operations were carried out: on 22 infants with cholangiopathy of the newborn and on 22 with cysts of the common bile duct. The most informative methods for the diagnosis of cholangiopathy in children are as follows: ultrasonic scanning, laparoscopy, ERCPG, aspiration biopsy of the liver, and aspiration cholangiography under control of a laparoscope.
