The small bowel is the least common site for diverticula in the entire gastrointestinal tract. Chronic upper intestinal obstruction due to diverticula is very rare. We report a case of multiple small bowel diverticula causing mechanical obstruction of the duodenojejunal flexure.

Chest CT-scan finding of asymptomatic COVID-19 pneumonia: a prospective 542 patients' single center study.

Since asymptomatic infections as "covert transmitter", and some patients can progress rapidly in the short term, it is essential to pay attention to the diagnosis and surveillance of asymptomatic patients with SARS-COV2 infection. CT scan has great value in screening and detecting patients with COVID-19 pneumonia, especially in the highly suspected or probable asymptomatic cases with negative RT-PCR for SARS-COV2. This study aimed to detect incidentally COVID-19 pneumonia on medical imaging for patients consulting for other reasons.

Temporal choroidal fissure cyst: a rare cause of temporal lobe epilepsy.

Only a few cases of temporal choroidal fissure cyst are reported. We describe a new case of an 8 years old girl who manifested complex partial seizure. The diagnosis was made by magnetic resonance imagining (MRI).

Intra-articular distension preceded by physical therapy versus intra-articular distension followed by physical therapy for treating adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder.

Background: Intra-articular distension is a validated treatment in adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder and is commonly followed by intensive in-patient physical therapy. A recent meta-analysis found that physical therapy is as effective as intra-articular distension (IAD) and that an early distension could be the primary choice for treating frozen shoulder. The question of the additional contribution of physical therapy prior to IAD compared with IAD followed by physical therapy has not been raised.

Management of liver hydatid cyst with cystobiliary communication and acute cholangitis: a 27-year experience.

Purpose: The rupture of the hydatid cyst into the bile ducts is a common and serious complication. The rupture can be latent or revealed after a complication such as acute cholangitis. The objective of this study was to discuss the clinical features, radiographic findings, and surgical treatment of this rare complication.

Introduction: Congenital bile duct cysts (CBDC) is a rare congenital malformation. It results from an anomaly of the biliopancreatic junction (AJBP). This condition is often diagnosed at a young age.

Pelvic abscess complicating sigmoid colon perforation by migrating intrauterine device: A case report and review of the literature.

Introduction: Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are commonly used as a contraceptive method. However, they may cause rare but potentially serious complications such as migration through the uterine wall and gastrointestinal perforation.

Presentation Of Case: We report a case of a 26-year woman, carrying an IUD for 2 years, who presented to the emergency with pelvic pain with breakthrough bleeding.

Inverted Takotsubo syndrome in Androctonus australis scorpion envenomation.

Context: The nature of scorpion-related cardiomyopathy is still a matter of debate where specific toxin-induced cardiomyopathy, ischemic, or catecholaminergic cardiomyopathy is advocated as well. We report two cases of Takotsubo syndrome following envenomation by Androctonus australis, bringing new evidence for the fundamental role of catecholamines in the pathogenesis of this cardiomyopathy. Case 1: A woman aged 36 presented with pulmonary edema and shock following scorpion envenomation.

An unusual etiology of posttraumatic Collet-Sicard Syndrome: a case report.

Posttraumatic Unilateral paralysis of the last four cranial nerves (IX-XI), known as collet-Sicard syndrome, is rare following closed head injury. A 21-year-old man presented with slurred speech, hoarseness voice and difficulty swallowing his saliva following closed head trauma. The cranial nerve examination revealed left sided severe dysfunction of cranial nerves VII, IX, X, XI, and XII.

Unusual presentation of severely disseminated and rapidly progressive hydatic cyst: Malignant hydatidosis.

The infection caused by the tapeworm Echinococcus granulosus leads to the development of hydatic disease. It is the most frequent mediterranean parasitic infection that commonly affects the liver and rarely involves multiple organs. Herein, we report an exceptional and confusing presentation of hepatopulmonary and splenic hydatidosis due to Echinococcus granulosus that caused diagnostic problems occuring in a 70-year-old man, treated with chemotherapy, with favorable outcome.

Teratomas are unusual tumors derived from all 3 germs cells layers: endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm, with varying proportions. The cervical area is exceptionally affected. We report 4 cases of cervical teratoma.

Perinatally discovered complete tubular colonic duplication associated with anal atresia.

Complete tubular colonic duplication (CTCD) is exceedingly rare. The association of CTCD with an anorectal malformation is unusual. This malformation may be found unexpectedly at laparotomy.

Thymic hyperplasia in a patient with Grave's disease.

Hyperplastic changes of the thymus may be found in patients with Graves' disease. However, this rarely presents as an anterior mediastinal mass, particularly among adults. In this report, we describe a 46-year old woman with Graves' disease and thymic hyperplasia.

Reversible dilated cardiomyopathy caused by hypothyroidism.

The association between lack of thyroid hormones and cardiac dysfunction has been well described. We report two new cases of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), revealing a periphery hypothyroidism and for whom cardiac function significantly improved after L thyroxin substitutive treatment. Our cases highlight the necessity to perform thyroid function testing to investigate the etiology of non ischemic DCM.
