Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have significantly improved the five-year survival rate for advanced melanoma. However, many patients exhibit resistance to ICI therapy. This study evaluated the efficacy and prognostic factors of anti-PD-1 (Group A) and nivolumab-ipilimumab (Group B) therapy in patients with advanced melanoma who were resistant to prior ICI therapy.

Aim / Objectives: In this study, we aimed to determine the alterations in inflammatory markers regarding disease activity in autoimmune bullous diseases and to discuss their contribution to the pathogenesis.

Methods: A total of 191 patients with pemphigus vulgaris (PV) and 46 patients with bullous pemphigoid (BP) who were admitted to the outpatient clinic at the Department of Dermatology were included.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermal hair straightening on hair loss pattern in Asian women exist.

Background And Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate mean platelet volume (MPV) in patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis (RMS) and to define the determinants of a possible platelet activation reflected as platelet volume enlargement.

Methods: Peripheral venous plasma value of MPV was measured in 84 consecutive patients (16 men, 68 women; mean age ± SD = 44 ± 13 years) with RMS who had no left atrial thrombus by transoesophageal echocardiography. The control group consisted of 32 healthy subjects (nine men, 23 women; mean age ± SD = 38 ± 7 years).
