Objectives: To assess the symmetry of various cranial anthropometric points used as references for yaw orientation in the natural head position (NHP), relative to the mid-sagittal plane.
Materials And Methods: A prospective analysis using tomography data from 55 patients was conducted. Radiopaque markers, placed on patients in NHP, facilitated head position recording in three planes, with subsequent digital transfer for orientation analysis.

Purpose: Conscious sedation in oral surgical procedures provides comfort both for patients and practitioners. Midazolam is a sedative agent commonly used in this manner. Dexmedetomidine is also a decent sedative agent, with its analgesic and mild respiratory effects, which is usually preferred in intensive care units.

Materials And Methods: This study was based on patients' self-assessment using a questionnaire.
Purpose: Surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion (SARME) is a common treatment technique in the correction of maxillary transverse deficiency. The purpose of this study was to evaluate nasal and palatal skeletal changes following SARME using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) and posterior anterior (PA) cephalograms.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, the radiographic images obtained from 14 patients with transverse maxillary deficiency before treatment and 6 months after SARME operations were evaluated.
Glandular odontogenic cyst (GOC) is an uncommon and aggressive jaw cyst with a high recurrence rate. It may grow into a large size. Diagnosis of the cyst is challenging since it may be confused with some other jaw cysts and malignancies.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacted supernumerary teeth which were initially detected on panoramic radiographs by using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, supernumerary teeth diagnosed on panoramic radiographs taken from patients who had admitted for routine dental treatment were evaluated using CBCT. Patients' age, gender, systemic conditions as well as number of supernumerary teeth, unilateral-bilateral presence, anatomical localization (maxilla, mandible, anterior-premolar-molar, mesiodens-lateral-canine, parapremolar-paramolar-distomolar) shape (rudimentary, supplemental, tuberculate, odontoma), position (palatal-lingual-buccal-labial-central), shortest distance between the tooth and adjacent cortical plate, complications and treatment were assessed.
Purpose: The nasopalatine canal is a well-known, important anatomical structure in the anterior maxilla, but this region contains many accessory canals. The canalis sinuosus (CS) is one of these canals; it contains the anterior superior alveolar nerve, along with veins and arteries. Methods: 28 male Sprague-Dawley rats were used in this study. 14 animals received a single dose of STZ intraperitoneally (65 mg/kg) to induce Type I DM, whereas others were injected only with sterile saline solution.

Purpose: To investigate whether the presence of bony septum, thickness of sinus membrane (schneiderian membrane), and residual alveolar bone height affects membrane perforation and the duration of sinus augmentation.
Materials And Methods: Preoperative cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images obtained from patients undergoing lateral sinus augmentation were evaluated for the presence of bony septum, thickness of sinus membrane, and residual alveolar bone height. During the operation, membrane perforation and duration of surgery were noted.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the intraoperative and postoperative effects of Piezosurgery and conventional rotative instruments in direct sinus lifting procedure.
Patients And Methods: Twenty-three patients requiring direct sinus lifting were enrolled. The osteotomy and sinus membrane elevation were performed either with Piezosurgery tips or rotative diamond burs and manual membrane elevators.
