Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutant gliomas are classified as astrocytoma or oligodendroglioma based on the recent application of mutation, mutation, and 1p/19q co-deletion. Astrocytomas classically show and mutations, whereas oligodendrogliomas are defined by 1p/19q co-deletion.
