Methods: We conducted a systematic review of the electronic databases Pubmed and Embase for relevant prospective English-language studies published between January 1990 and February 2019.
Alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) is grouped with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); however, this may not be appropriate. This study assessed whether AATD confers a different prognosis than COPD following lung transplantation. F-actin structures and their distribution are important determinants of the dynamic shapes and functions of eukaryotic cells. Actin waves are F-actin formations that move along the ventral cell membrane driven by actin polymerization. Dictyostelium myosin IB is associated with actin waves but its role in the wave is unknown.
