Background: oXiris is a blood purification product that has been launched recently in China. In addition to renal function support and fluid management capabilities, it can also adsorb cytokines and endotoxins. This may complement standard treatment for septic acute kidney injury (AKI) patients to control the amplitude of systemic inflammatory response responsible for acute tissue and organ damage.
