Introduction: Knowing the intra-household distribution of dietary intake is useful to establish food policy.
Objective: To estimate the intra-household distribution of energy and macronutrients by kinship in Colombian households.
Material And Methods: We applied two recalls of dietary intake for the last 24 hours (R24H) in 1,505 subjects living in 432 households.

Objective: Establishing the performance of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) household food security scale (EPSA) which is being used in Latin-America and the Caribbean, compared to a traditionally-used method (food insecurity scale) which has led to establishing food security at individual and population level. The performance of the household food security scale (EPSA) was evaluated during 2007-2008 and compared to that of the food insecurity (FI) scale based on the energy usually consumed.
Methods: Two hundred and eleven household participated in the study.
Objective: To evaluate the impact of an alimentary intervention on the frequency of consumption of fruits and vegetables (FV) in the municipality of Girón, Santander, Colombia.
Material And Methods: A community intervention was carried out over a ten-month period, where 66 families who use fourteen community homes (HC) received an alimentary intervention based on educational strategies. Seventy-three families in twelve HC served as a control group.

With the objective of describing the participation and quantity (g) in the intake of leguminous in two geographical areas (metropolitan and rural), three surveys were re-analyzed, in them 571 subjects (148 scholars and 443 mothers) described their intake by the 24-hour dietary recall method.
