Objective: Retrocaval ureter is a rare disease which is due to a abnormal development of the inferior cava vein. It usually presents with ureteral obstruction, and surgery is needed for symptomatic cases.

Introduction: Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) is a complex problem that is a major cause of morbidity and disability.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of intravesical instillation of a new therapeutic tool in patients suffering from CPPS.

Methods: Between june 2005 and september 2008 we recruited 14 patients (mean age 59) who had been diagnosed with CPPS, and refractory to previous treatments.
