Cardiovascular diseases are a major cause of mortality worldwide. Long-term monitoring of nighttime heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) may be useful in identifying latent cardiovascular risk. The Oura Ring has shown excellent correlation only with ECG-derived HR, but not HRV.

Introduction: Cord arterial blood gas analysis (ABGA) results are used as diagnostic criteria for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in newborns with suspected perinatal asphyxia. This study evaluated the effect of cord ABGA lactate level on the long-term neurodevelopment of newborns without any clinical signs of perinatal asphyxia.
Methods: This clinical observation study was designed among term babies born between 2018 and 2019 in our unit.
This study is aimed to synthesize morpholine- and thiazolidine-based novel 5-(substituted)benzylidene)-2-(morpholinoimino)-3-phenylthiazolidin-4-ones (-) and characterized by molecular spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were subjected to antioxidant activity with anticholinesterase, tyrosinase, and urease inhibition activities and evaluated the structure-activity relationship (SAR) of enzyme inhibition activities. Compound was found to be the most active antioxidant.

In order to develop new anti-browning agents with dual antioxidant and anti-tyrosinase capacities, a series of 30 thiazolyl hydrazone derivatives were synthesized. Among the molecules prepared, 6 and 30 were found to be the most potent tyrosinase inhibitors with IC values comparable to that of kojic acid.

Design And Methods: This randomized control trial was conducted with 65 postpartum women residing in a city located in south-eastern Turkey. In the first postpartum month, following random assignment of subjects, the experimental group (n = 40) performed exercises for 4 weeks, and the control group (n = 40) received standard care.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: In this study, we examined if 6-9 Hz jaw tremor, an indirect indicator of Periodontal Mechanoreceptor (PMR) activity, is different in bruxists compared to healthy participants during production of a low-level constant bite force.
Methods: Bite force and surface EMG from the masseter muscle were recorded simultaneously as participants (13 patients, 15 controls) held a force transducer between the upper and lower incisors very gently.
Results: Tremor in 6-9 Hz band for bruxists was greater on average compared to controls, but the difference was not significant, both for force recordings and EMG activity.
