Active and adaptive coping strategies have been identified as factors that can assist cancer patients in effectively managing and overcoming the crisis, leading to the potential for post-traumatic growth during the diagnosis and treatment stages. Psychological flexibility is another factor that can protect individuals and promote more adaptive reactions to traumatic situations. The study aims to examine the investigation of the mediation role of coping with stress in the relationship between psychological flexibility and posttraumatic growth in cancer patients.

The investigation of the mediating role of coping trategies on the relationship between childhood traumas, depression and alcohol use disorder in university students.

The aim of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of coping strategies on the relationship among childhood traumas, depression, and alcohol use disorder in university students. The participants of this study consisted of 735 (209 males and 526 females) university students. Participants completed measures of depressive symptoms, childhood traumas, problematic alcohol consumption, and coping strategies as well as a sociodemographic information form.

Self-reflection has not so far been shown to have any specific benefits for mental health except for self-knowledge. Recent research showed that the controversy concerning the relationship between self-reflection and mental health could completely be eliminated if self-rumination and the need for absolute truth, especially the need for absolute truth, were considered as suppressor variables. This research replicated these findings in a different sample and expanded these findings by showing that the same is true for private self-consciousness.
