Introduction: Numerous challenges hinder the development of multidisciplinary medical education in a resource-constrained environment. Communal tumour boards built through networking could be a suitable model for the effective management of diseases and enhancement of medical education. This study evaluated the impact of an integrated care pathway for patients with musculoskeletal tumours via multi-institutional networking in a metropolis.

The COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affected African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) people in Canada. Despite higher SARS-CoV-2 exposure risks, likelihood of being quarantined, and risk of severe disease outcomes, little is known about the pandemic's effects on this community's mental health. This study aims to identify factors associated with changes in ACB Canadians' mental health during the pandemic and provide guidance for improved access to mental health resources.

Development of citrus peel by-product as a slice jam by using two-level factorial design.

Natural slice jam from the citrus peel is a product that enhances the economic value of the waste of citrus fruit peel. The goal of the study was to improve a recipe for a natural jam made entirely from citrus peel and shaped into a square to make it a more convenient and ready-to-eat product. A two-level factorial design was used to investigate the effects of four independent variables; X1: concentration lemon peel (), X2: concentration orange peel (), X3: storage temperature, and X4: sugar.

HIV Prevention and Treatment Interventions for Black Men Who Have Sex With Men in Canada: Scoping Systematic Review.

Background: Black men who have sex with men (MSM) experience disproportionately high HIV incidence globally. A comprehensive, intersectional approach (race, gender, and sexuality or sexual behavior) in understanding the experiences of Black MSM in Canada along the HIV prevention and care continuums has yet to be explored.

Objective: This scoping review aims to examine the available evidence on the access, quality, gaps, facilitators, and barriers of engagement and identify interventions relevant to the HIV prevention and care continuum for Black MSM in Canada.

Factors that influence families' decision to send their children to a week-long pediatric oncology camp and thoughts about attending camp.

Purpose: We sought to understand: families' experience of an overnight pediatric oncology camp open to children with cancer and their siblings aged seven to seventeen (Camp Delight); the considerations that factor into families' decision to attend camp for the first time; and what motivates them to reattend.

Method: Eleven semi-structured interviews were conducted with families who attended Camp Delight during or before August 2020. Thematic analysis was performed using a framework developed by four coders and MaxQDA software.

Understanding how PSP cope with stress is critical to ensuring their safety and that of the public.

Few studies have documented the air quality, noise, thermal comfort, and health risk assessment of household kitchens related to Sub-Sahara Africa. In this paper, air quality (CO and PM), thermal comfort (relative humidity (RH) and temperature), noise, and health risk in urban household kitchens with kerosene-fueled stoves were presented. This study was carried out during the dry season (summer) in the Southwestern part of Nigeria.

Research Ethics with Gender and Sexually Diverse Persons.

Identifying and developing inclusive policy and practice responses to health and social inequities in gender and sexually diverse persons require inclusive research ethics and methods in order to develop sound data. This article articulates 12 ethical principles for researchers undertaking gender and sexually diverse social, health, and related research. We have called these the 'Montréal Ethical Principles for Inclusive Research.

'Those tablets, they are finding an empty stomach': a qualitative investigation of HIV risk among sexual and gender minority migrants in Cape Town, South Africa.

HIV prevalence among sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals in South Africa is among the highest in the world; however, SGM migrants, an especially vulnerable subgroup of both the SGM and migrant populations, have frequently been overlooked in the country's robust public health response. This qualitative study, guided by syndemics theory, explored the processes by which SGM migrants in South Africa are exposed to HIV risk and those that may reduce this risk. We conducted 6 focus groups with a total of 30 SGM migrants living in Cape Town.

Segmental endoprosthesis replacement in a resource-constrained setting.

Purpose: Indications for the use of endoprosthesis have continued to expand over the years, especially as an alternative to ablative surgery. This mode of treatment which was initially limited to orthopaedic oncology is now being applied in complex trauma with significant bone loss and end-stage arthroplasty. However, use of endoprosthesis in a resource-constrained setting such as sub-Saharan Africa is limited by various factors.

In this concept article, we outline a variety of new approaches that have been conceived to address some of the remaining challenges for developing improved methods of biopreservation. This recognizes a true renaissance and variety of complimentary, high-potential approaches leveraging inspiration by nature, nanotechnology, the thermodynamics of pressure, and several other key fields. Development of an organ and tissue supply chain that can meet the healthcare demands of the 21st century means overcoming twin challenges of (1) having enough of these lifesaving resources and (2) having the means to store and transport them for a variety of applications.

Social, economic, and policy implications of organ preservation advances.

Purpose Of Review: Despite over 60 years of progress in the field of since the first organ transplant, insufficient organ preservation capabilities still place profound constraints on transplantation. These constraints play multiple and compounding roles in the predominant limitations of the field: the severe shortages of transplant organs, short-term and long-term posttransplant outcomes and complications, the unmet global need for development of transplant infrastructures, and economic burdens that limit patient access to transplantation and contribute to increasing global healthcare costs. This review surveys ways that advancing preservation technologies can play a role in each of these areas, ultimately benefiting thousands if not millions of patients worldwide.

Giant cell tumour of the clavicle: A rare presentation of a locally aggressive tumour.

We report a case of a 28-year-old female who presents with painless, progressively increasing left upper chest swelling of 6 months duration. Examination revealed a 20 by 10 cm firm mass arising from the clavicle. She was investigated and a diagnosis established based on the histological report.
