In rural areas with high fluoride concentrations in groundwater, affordable and effective de-fluoridation technologies can significantly reduce the likelihood of being affected by fluorosis-related illnesses, such as skeletal fluorosis. This is particularly significant in areas where groundwater is the primary or sole drinking water source, such as the Rift Valley of Tanzania. Despite the availability of technologies, people's use of de-fluoridation devices still needs to be improved.

Our study focused on the factors that impact consumers' intention to consume and willingness to pay for dry-aged beef. We implemented an extended version of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model that contains a measure of meat-eater identity to analyze the intention to consume and the willingness to pay a premium for dry-aged beef steak that has undergone 21-30 days of aging.

Although some edible offal is considered delicacies, we hardly find such foods in Western countries' everyday diet, and their human consumption has decreased during the last decades. This study analyses the consumer purchase intention of BEEF edible offal using an extended version of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), where food neophobia and food disgust sensitivity play an essential role in determining consumers' willingness to eat beef edible offal.

In order to achieve the stated objective a choice survey was developed and administered to a sample of Italian respondents. The product attributes and attribute levels included in the choice experiment were obtained from in-depth interviews conducted with stakeholders working on the development of this new product in the Italian region of Puglia.

We find that female consumers show high acceptance for some functional dairy products, such as yogurt enriched with calcium, fiber and probiotics. Acceptance for functional dairy products increases among consumers with higher diet/health related knowledge, as well as with aging.
