64 Cu-DOTATATE PET/CT of a 44-year-old man with an ileal neuroendocrine tumor demonstrated the primary tumor, local nodal metastases, and a pericaval nodal metastasis. Localization of the pericaval node during surgery may be difficult, thus 4.4 mCi of 111 In-pentetreotide was administered before surgery to assist with localization and resection.

Platinum-resistant ovarian cancer frequently develops in response to multiple lines of chemotherapy, whereupon the disease becomes relatively intractable and clinical recourse is limited. We document a 58-year-old, advanced-stage, platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patient who previously failed numerous cytotoxic and targeted therapy regimens. She was referred to our gynecologic oncology service with a California (CA)-125 of 3194 U/mL and underwent a modified vaccinia virus coinciding with an Institutional Review Board-approved clinical trial.

Climate change is impacting crop performance and agricultural systems around the world with implications for farmers and consumers. We carried out a systematic review to synthesize evidence regarding the effects of environmental factors associated with climate change and management conditions associated with climate adaptation on the crop quality of a culturally-relevant perennial crop, coffee ( and ). Seventy-three articles were identified that addressed the study's research question including 42 articles on environmental factors, 20 articles on management conditions, and 11 articles on both.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between matchday wellness status and a technical-tactical performance construct during rugby match-play. One hundred and thirty-three male rugby union players (73 forwards and 60 backs) from five under-18 national squads who participated in the under-18 Six Nations competition completed a subjective wellness questionnaire on each matchday morning. Players subjectively rated each item (sleep quality, fatigue, muscle soreness, stress and mood) on a five-point Likert scale to calculate their daily wellness status (i.

A 68-year-old man with right cheek melanoma after resection underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT, which was unremarkable except for multiple FDG-avid subcentimeter but rounded lymph nodes in the left axilla. The patient had undergone a COVID-19 vaccination in the left arm 3 weeks prior. As under vaccinations have been documented to cause reactive FDG-avid lymph nodes, the nodes in our patient were considered benign, reactive to the COVID-19 vaccination.

Objective: We systematically explored the link of pancreatic iron with glucose metabolism and with cardiac complications in a cohort of 1,079 patients with thalassemia major (TM) enrolled in the Extension-Myocardial Iron Overload in Thalassemia (E-MIOT) project.

Research Design And Methods: MRI was used to quantify iron overload (T2* technique) and cardiac function (cine images) and to detect macroscopic myocardial fibrosis (late gadolinium enhancement technique). Glucose metabolism was assessed by the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).

Heavily pretreated ovarian cancer patients become progressively chemoresistant, and thereafter, only scant treatments potentially accord reasonable, albeit limited clinical efficacy. We describe a case involving a 67-year-old ovarian cancer patient who underwent multiple lines of chemotherapy and presented with recurrent disease and a CA-125 of 4112 U/mL. Thenceforth, she was treated with GL-ONC1 oncolytic viral therapy that was administered laparoscopically in accordance with a clinical trial.

Background: Platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) is largely used, thanks to its properties, as wound therapy after surgical resection. Several studies and clinical findings have demonstrated that the PRP can accelerate the regeneration and the repair of tissues through the action of the platelet-derived growth factors.

Material And Methods: Our study aimed to investigate the effects of PRP-gel on the rate of tumor relapse by using a mouse model of Human Fibrosarcoma (HF).

Traditional economic interpretations have not been successful in explaining differences in saving rates across countries. One hypothesis is that savings respond to cultural specific social norms. The accepted view in economics so far is that culture does not have any effect on savings.

Background: Community Nurse Supporting Elderly iN a changing SOciety is a project funded by the European Union, which is aimed at developing an innovative care model based on community nurses to support active ageing in mountain areas. The planned sustainability of this innovative approach relies on social entrepreneurship, and this work highlights the necessary conditions for the existence of these entrepreneurial initiatives on the market, with community nurses' services purchased by the public health care system.

Methods: The authors propose a sustainability framework for this project based on three relevant dimensions (ie, health, organisation, and context), highlighting the necessary conditions for continued provision of health services beyond project conclusion.

Background: We recently reported that self-evaluation of the incidence and severity of treatment-related side effects (TSEs) using a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) v4.0-based questionnaire was feasible and more informative than doctor reports in patients undergoing standard adjuvant chemotherapy for operable breast cancer. Here, we compare self- and doctor-evaluated day of onset and duration of TSEs in the same population.
