  • Psoriasis is a long-lasting inflammatory disease with no known cure, often requiring ongoing treatment, especially for moderate to severe cases.
  • A study evaluated the long-term effectiveness of anti-TNFα biologic agents (infliximab, etanercept, adalimumab) in 210 psoriatic patients over a decade, finding that about one-third of them maintained good results with their treatments.
  • The median survival rates for the treatments were approximately 9.5-10 years, suggesting these agents can be effective long-term, but more research is needed to identify factors affecting treatment success or failure over time.
