Optical coherence tomography-guided Nd:YAG laser treatment and follow-up of basal cell carcinoma.

Objectives: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common skin tumor with an annually increasing incidence. Standard care requires several visits for diagnosis and treatment. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) as a diagnostic tool increases the sensitivity (95%) and specificity (77%) of the diagnosis of BCC.
