Background: Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is employed in caries prevention and treatment; however, tooth discoloration post treatment is a significant disadvantage, which can be reduced using glutathione (GSH), a water soluble tripeptide.
Aim: To evaluate and compare the effect of glutathione biomolecule (GSH) and potassium iodide (KI) along with SDF on tooth discoloration and shear bond strength of glass ionomer cement (GIC) on the tooth surface.
Methods: Artificial caries were created on 48 extracted unblemished premolars and divided into four groups (SDF, SDF + KI, SDF + GSH, and Water).

The study explored revenge fantasies as a response to perceived injustices among Indian Hindu women amid the prevalent gender-based violence. A mixed-method design with 52 women (18-56 years) was used to collect their drawings and narratives depicting revenge fantasies, demographics, the Traumatic Events Questionnaire, and the Injustice Experiences Questionnaire. Participants highlighted non-family events with strangers as perpetrators, preferring avoidance as the common revenge fantasy.

The research aims to understand the extent to which distinctions or similarities arise in Self-Figure drawings among adolescents from two culturally similar yet distinct backgrounds characterized by differences in religious affiliations, socioeconomic contexts, and political environments.
Methods: Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study utilized quantitative measures, including the Traumatic Events Checklist (TEQ-5) and Medical Somatic Dissociation Questionnaire (MSDQ), alongside a qualitative analysis of Self-Figure drawings.

Auto-immune pancreatitis (AIP) is a rare benign disease commonly presented with painless obstructive jaundice and biliary obstruction with rare complications like pseudocyst. We present a case series of two patients of AIP with unusual presentations; one case presented with periorbital swelling, jaundice, and pseudocyst, and the other case presented with abdominal pain and biliary obstruction without jaundice; both showed good response with steroids.

The objective of this study was to explore the acceptability, satisfaction, perceived relevance, and barriers to teleconsultation from a caregiver's perspective. Methodology This was a descriptive qualitative study (telephonic interviews) involving in-depth interviews (IDIs) with the caregivers of children with developmental disabilities who received teleconsultations.

Methods: Data of 4806 consecutive patients of acute HF admitted in 22 centres in the country were collected during this period. The admission patterns, aetiology, outcomes, prescription of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) and interventions were analysed in this retrospective study.

Esophageal Lichen Planus (ELP)is a rare manifestation of Lichen Planus(LP). We present a case series of 2 patients with oral mucosal involvement who presented with dysphagia. On endoscopy, one patient revealed proximal esophageal stricture and the other patient had proximal esophageal ulcer.

Methods: A total of 903 patients with AMI enrolled in the North Indian ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NORIN-STEMI) registry were included in this study.
Objective: To find out differences in the presentation, management and outcomes of COVID-19 infected STEMI patients compared to age and sex-matched non-infected STEMI patients treated during the same period.
Methods: This was a retrospective multicentre observational registry in which we collected data of COVID-19 positive STEMI patients from selected tertiary care hospitals across India. For every COVID-19 positive STEMI patient, two age and sex-matched COVID-19 negative STEMI patients were enrolled as control.
Background: Genetic polymorphism in MMPs are associated with multiple adverse CV events. There is little evidence regarding role of MMPs and their genetic polymorphisms in young (<50 years) ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients.
Methods: This study included 100 young (18-50 years) STEMI patients and 100 healthy controls.
Peripheral giant-cell granulomas (PGCGs) are reddish color lesions of the gingiva which are frequently diagnosed on a routine basis by many dentists in the regular dental practice. Most of the lesions of PGCG are slow-growing, nonaggressive with asymptomatic, and tend to recur. Here, we exhibit a case of PGCG of the upper jaw in a 15-year-old girl child.

We report a case of a 43-year-old, hypertensive, female who presented with gradually progressive paraparesis over 4 years. She was diagnosed to be having coarctation of the aorta with intra-spinal collaterals causing compressive myelopathy.

Background: Dysglycemia is a major and increasingly prevalent cardiometabolic risk factor worldwide, but is often undiagnosed even in high-risk patients. We evaluated the impact of protocolized screening for dysglycemia on the prevalence of prediabetes and diabetes among patients presenting with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in North India.
Methods: We conducted a prospective NORIN STEMI registry-based study of patients presenting with STEMI to two government-funded tertiary care medical centers in New Delhi, India, from January to November 2019.
Background: Risk prediction following ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) in resource limited countries is critical to identify patients at an increased risk of mortality who might benefit from intensive management.
Methods: North India ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NORIN-STEMI) is an ongoing registry that has prospectively enrolled 3,635 STEMI patients. Of these, 3191 patients with first STEMI were included.
Background: Overt left ventricular (LV) dysfunction and congestive heart failure are known entities in Takayasu arteritis (TA). Subclinical LV dysfunction may develop in these patients despite normal LV ejection fraction (LVEF). Moreover, effect of treatment of aortic or renal artery narrowing in such patients is unknown.

There is a wide set of differential diagnoses for a hot swollen joint, thus making it difficult to diagnose and manage, especially for junior doctors. Initially, it is pertinent to exclude/diagnose medical and surgical emergencies.

Materials And Methods: A questionnaire containing questions on diagnosis, treatment, and management of TMD was given to a total of 157 general dental practitioners in Jabalpur. The responses were collected; data analysis was done by Chi-square test.
Background: Current risk scores to estimate atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk and allocate statins in at-risk persons have largely been developed in Western populations; their applicability in India is uncertain.
Objective: To assess eligibility for primary prevention statin therapy using the 2018 U.S Multisociety Guideline and other contemporary cholesterol guidelines in patients presenting with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in the North India STEMI (NORIN-STEMI) registry.
Objectives: COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented increase in rates of stress and burn out among healthcare workers (HCWs). Heart rate variability (HRV) has been shown to be reflective of stress and burnout. The present study evaluated the prevalence of burnout and attempted to develop a HRV based predictive machine learning (ML) model to detect burnout among HCWs during COVID-19 pandemic.

We sought to determine the changes in the number of admissions, management practices, and outcomes of AMI during the pandemic period in India.
Methods & Results: In this two-timepoint cross-sectional study involving 187 hospitals across India, patients admitted with AMI between 15th March to 15th June in 2020 were compared with those admitted during the corresponding period of 2019.
