Transformer (TRA2B) is a serine/arginine-rich (SR)-like protein family that regulates the alternative splicing of several genes in a concentration-dependent manner. Amplification of the TRA2B gene, which codes for TRA2B, occurs in several malignancies, including those of the lung, cervix, head and neck, ovary, stomach, and uterine.

Combinational therapy using muscarinic antagonists and beta- agonists has long been warranted for use as maintenance therapy. A lack of studies directly comparing Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol (GFF) versus Tiotropium/Formoterol (TFF) was observed which led us to analyze the effectiveness of these combinations.

Two-stage implant systems result in gaps and cavities between implant and abutment that can act as a trap for bacteria and thus possibly cause inflammatory reactions in the peri-implant soft tissues. These gaps between the components are inevitable, and their clinical significance has so far been mostly neglected by both manufacturers and clinicians. This study is thus intended to evaluate microbial leakage at implant abutment interface in different implant systems.

The study aims to assess patients' preferences regarding physicians communicating bad news of COVID-19. Based on the data collected from 74 patients with COVID-19 in India, this study assesses "how" patients want bad news to be delivered. Key aspects of the physician-patient interaction were identified from the literature.

Materials And Methods: A semi-quantitative adherent bioassay was performed to detect the biofilm formation in 73 CRAB strains.
Cobalt zinc-zeolite imidazole framework (Co/Zn-ZIF) nanofibers are made via an electrospinning (ES) approach and tested for the detection of heavy metal cadmium ions. Electrostatically attracted cobalt and zinc ions are bound regularly on the surface of the ZIF network. The cobalt and zinc ions are organized with the ZIF network, which provides the sturdily bonded tetrahedral structure of Co/Zn-ZIF, giving essential steadiness to the composite material.

This study aims at estimating death rates and mortality risk factors associated with TDT. The clinical records of 1087 patients from 5 thalassemia centers in India were retrospectively analyzed from 2011 to 2018.

Cefotaxime, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin, appeared to be a safe and effective therapy in greater than 90% of infections including cellulitis, abscesses and necrotizing ulcers of the skin and subcutaneous tissues but here we report a rare case of 36 years old female patient developed generalized bullous FDE after intravenous administration of Cefotaxime.

It is currently a worldwide issue that metallo-β-lactamases (MBLs) as carbapenem-hydrolyzing enzymes are one of the major drug resistance mechanisms. This investigation is thus aimed to assess the prevalence and characterize the MBL-producing strains of A.

Objective: To validate whether change in serum HCG levels between days 0 and 4 confer any prognostic value during methotrexate therapy and to quantify its change.
Study Design: This is a retrospective study of 48 tubal ectopic pregnancies treated with single dose methotrexate protocol at University Hospital, Muscat, Oman from January 2012 to December 2013. The clinical outcome was analyzed based on the complete resolution of HCG levels or need for additional doses of methotrexate or recourse to surgery.

Botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma is an aggressive malignancy that arises from embryonal rhabdomyoblasts. It is commonly seen in the genital tract of female infants and young children. Due to the young age of affected patients, this malignancy poses a management challenge as the preservation of hormonal, sexual and reproductive function is essential.

Arsenic trioxide (ATO) is a very effective drug for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) but it leads to cardiotoxicity mediated through alterations in various cardiac ion channels and by increasing the intracellular calcium level and reactive oxygen species (ROS). The aim of the present investigation was to study the effect of methanolic extract of apple peel (APME) and aqueous extract of apple peel (APAE) on ATO (5 μM) induced toxicity in the H9c2 cardiac myoblast cell line.

The conversion of γ- to α-tocopherol catalyzed by γ-tocopherol methyltransferase (γ-TMT) is found to be the rate limiting factor in soybean which influences the tocopherol composition. Using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, we overexpressed the γ-TMT gene of Perilla frutescens under the control of the seed-specific promoter vicillin in cultivar Pusa 16.

In this work, we report on the synthesis of stable Ag NPs using plant-derived materials such as leaf extract of Neem (Azadirachta indica) and biopolymer pectin from apple peel. In addition, the applicational properties of Ag NPs such as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and antibacterial efficiencies were also investigated.

Objectives With the objective of improving outcomes in oncological surgery, a new concept of surgical anatomy deduced from embryonic development, called ontogenetic anatomy and compartment theory of local tumor spread, is proposed by Michael Höckel from Germany. Hypothesis Compartment resection enables the preservation of functionally important tissues of different embryonic origin despite its close proximity to the tumor and incomplete resection of the compartment results in increase in local recurrences. This approach should maximize local tumor control and minimize treatment-related morbidity.

Ag particles exerted toxic effects in all organisms studied with Ag particles 23 nm being the most potent. Although soluble Ag was released in all media, the differences between the tested Ag particles still cannot be explained solely based on soluble Ag.
