We investigate a method for fabricating layers that exhibit both high optical absorption and promising thermoelectric properties. Using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), amorphous Si and SiGe layers are deposited on glass substrates and subsequently processed via laser annealing to achieve nanostructured layers. Our results show that a single laser annealing pulse at 40 mJ yields the highest power factor, approximately 90 μW/m·K.

This study aimed to identify predictors of severe proximal LAD stenosis and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) using coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).
Methods: from an initial cohort of 650 consecutive patients, we analyzed 499 patients who met the inclusion criteria after exclusions.
Objective: Cognitive impairment affects approximately 30% of pediatric onset Multiple Sclerosis (POMS) patients with a negative impact on everyday life. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of a home-based, computer-assisted training of attention in patients with POMS.
Methods: This was a randomized double-blind study.

This study aims to explore the correlation between the TT subtest performances and the performances in extra-linguistic cognitive areas in a cohort of patients from the Intensive Rehabilitation Post-Stroke (RIPS) study with a first, right hemisphere stroke and without aphasia, prospectively enrolled at admission to intensive inpatient post-acute rehabilitation.

Objective: Placebo-induced adverse events, or nocebo effects, occur when doctor-patient communication anticipates the onset of negative symptoms. They have been found to correlate with the anxiety-related activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system. Here we try to determine if prenatal hyperactivity of this system, as assessed through plasma cortisol, may influence nocebo effects in adulthood.
