Predictors of Fatigue Among Patients on Hemodialysis: An Observational Study.

Background Hemodialysis is a chronic replacement therapy recommended during end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in chronic kidney disease (CKD). Post-dialysis fatigue (PDF) is one of the symptoms patients experience after the treatment. This multifactorial condition is subjective and characterized by a lack of physical and emotional energy.

Therapeutic adherence in patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome: a retrospective cohort study.

Introduction: Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS) is a respiratory disorder characterized by repeated episodes of partial or complete airway obstruction. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure therapy (CPAP) is effective in improving sleep quality and daytime sleepiness. The aim of the study was to evaluate therapeutic adherence in a sample of patients with OSAS from the Pneumology ward of the "Cardinal Massaia" Hospital in Asti.

The impact of headache symptoms in a population of Italian university students during the COVID period: an observational study based on 4926 cases.

We conducted an observational study of 4926 university students from all over Italy and different university courses, including health areas. Students were contacted through the most popular social networks and some student's course representatives also acted as intermediaries, from June 1 to August 31, 2021. A questionnaire has been carried out using "Google Forms" and MIDAS.

Impact of the Proactive Rounding Team on Rapid Response System During COVID-19 Pandemic: A Retrospective Study From an Italian Medical Center.

Objective: During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic a proactive rounding (PR) team was introduced in our clinical practice in order to recognize the clinical deterioration of the patient as soon as possible. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of the PR team on the rapid response system (RRS) workload with particular regard to the activity carried out, the mode of intervention, and the outcome of patients.

Methods: In this retrospective study, the first period before the activation of the PR team (March 1, 2019, to February 29, 2020) and the second period after its activation (March 1, 2020, to March 1, 2021) were compared.
