CO Photoreduction Under Visible Light by TiO and Carbon Dots Derived from Pyrolized Bio-Oil.

Herein, we report a study on pyrolysis bio-oil upgrading from leather shaving waste to dope in situ titania (TiO) with carbon dots (cds). The cds doped TiO exhibits remarkable activity as photocatalyst under solar light for the direct conversion of carbon dioxide (CO) and water vapor (HO) to methane (CH). Morover, the catalytic activity also increased under uv radiation.

Rare benign tumors of the liver: still rare?

Background: Benign liver tumors are common. They do not spread to other areas of the body, and they usually do not pose a serious health risk. In fact, in most cases, benign liver tumors are not diagnosed because patients are asymptomatic.

Interleukin-10 involvement in exposure to low dose of benzene.

Objective: To establish if serum levels of interleukin-10 (IL-10) in subjects exposed to benzene are connected with age, working years, and employment age.

Methods: We evaluated serum levels of IL-10 in 51 employees working in oil refinery (group A) and in 16 office workers who resided in the same area (group B).

Results: There was no statistically significant difference between serum concentrations of IL-10 in groups A and B.
