Background: There has recently been a high increase in the prevalence of adolescent pregnancies, especially in developing countries, because they are considered vulnerable populations. The objective of this study was to determine the risk factors for low emotional intelligence and for depression in pregnant Peruvian Andean adolescents seen in a public health centre.
Methods: The study was a correlational analysis of 280 pregnant Peruvian Andean adolescents using logistic regression analysis.
