Polystyrene-bound cumulated ylide Ph3PCCO was prepared on a large scale in two steps. It reacts with Grignard compounds, amines and alcohols to give immobilized acyl, amide and ester ylides, respectively. Their Wittig reactions lead to alkenes free of phosphane oxide.
