Purpose: To assess the clinical performance of ProsTAV, a blood-based test based on telomere associate variables (TAV) measurement, to support biopsy decision-making when diagnosing suspicious prostate cancer (PCa).

Methods: Preliminary data of a prospective observational pragmatic study of patients with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels 3-10 ng/ml and suspicious PCa. Results were combined with other clinical data, and all patients underwent prostate biopsies according to each center's routine clinical practice, while magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before the prostate biopsy was optional.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcomes of thulium laser vaporesection of prostates with volume exceeding 100 cm. In the present prospective study, patients with infra-vesical urinary obstruction due to a prostate with volume exceeding 100 cm underwent endoscopic vaporesection using thulium laser. In this procedure, prostate chips were resected without morcellation.

During the past two decades, several new hereditary renal cancers have been discovered but are not yet widely known. Hereditary renal cancer syndromes can lead to multiple bilateral kidney tumors that occur at a younger age than that at which the nonhereditary renal cancers occur. The aim of our work is to review the features of hereditary renal cancers, the basic principles of genetic relevant to these syndromes, and the various histopathologic features of renal cancer.
