Background: To mitigate the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), national guidelines, in accordance with international health authorities, mandated 14 days of quarantine for every close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 patient. Although health benefits are obvious, consequences are profound, especially for organizations required to maintain operational preparedness.

Objectives: To present the Israel Defense Force (IDF) experience with outbreaks regarding quarantined individuals.

Progression from isolated gestational proteinuria to preeclampsia with severe features.

Introduction: The association between the degree of isolated gestational proteinuria and preeclampsia with severe features and other placental-mediated complications is controversial. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether a higher isolated proteinuria level is associated with an increased frequency of preeclampsia with severe features.

Material And Methods: This retrospective cohort study included pregnant women who were past 24 weeks of gestation and were diagnosed as having new-onset proteinuria ≥300 mg in a 24-h urine collection.

Self-reported symptoms in healthy young adults to predict potential coronavirus disease 2019.

Objective: To assess the utility of self-reported symptoms in identifying positive coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases among predominantly healthy young adults in a military setting.

Methods: A questionnaire regarding COVID-19 symptoms and exposure history was administered to all individuals contacting the Israeli Defence Forces Corona call-centre, before PCR testing. Surveyed symptoms included cough, fever, sore throat, rhinorrhoea, loss of taste or smell, chest pain and gastrointestinal symptoms.

Objective: MicroRNA (miRNA) are short nucleotide strands with a regulatory function in the cell. Several miRNAs have been shown to be useful as biomarkers for different neoplasms. The aim of this project was to assess whether levels of miRNA in cell free urine could be used as a biomarker in transitional cell carcinoma (TCC).
