The results of critical tests on thiabendazole given at three dose levels, 50 mg/kg, 80 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg, to groups of naturally parasitized lambs are reported. While the compound appeared to be efficient at all levels, the best results were obtained at 100 mg/kg. The total percentage removals of all worms present in the gut at these three dosage levels were 79.

The anthelmintic efficiency of methyridine administered subcutaneously was compared with orally administered phenothiazine in a group of feed lot ram lambs. Methyridine caused a greater suppression of total ova counts than did phenothiazine and was particularly superior in regard to Nematodirus and S. Papillosus.

The results of critical tests on methyridine in naturally parasitized sheep are given. The drug proved to be efficient against most species found in the small intestine. It was less effective against those in the large intestine.
