Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of liver venous deprivation (LVD) following transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Methods: Between January 2021 and December 2022, HCC patients indicated for hepatectomy with initial insufficient future liver remnant (FLR) underwent LVD after TACE to induce preoperative liver hypertrophy.

Results: Twenty-seven HCC patients with a median age of 55 years underwent LVD.

Evaluation of the hemostatic effect of trans-arterial embolization on patients with advanced oral cavity cancer who had bleeding complications while undergoing definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). Additionally, assess the effect of trans-arterial embolization on treatment response following concurrent chemoradiotherapy, as well as overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in the group of patients following the intervention. From September 2018-June 2021, a retrospective descriptive study was conducted on 16 patients with inoperable, locally advanced oral cavity cancer who received definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy, experienced acute bleeding complications, and received selective intravascular intervention with various embolization materials at Vietnam National Cancer Hospital.

Hypovascular pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors are uncommon pancreatic tumors and commonly misdiagnosed as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or chronic mass-forming pancreatitis. The liver is the organ most commonly affected by neuroendocrine tumor metastases but hepatic neuroendocrine tumor metastases are quite difficult to discriminate from other hepatic metastases and primary hepatic tumors. We describe a case of a 47-year-old man with incidentally detected multiple hepatic lesions on ultrasound.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the usefulness of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for differentiating thymoma from nonthymoma abnormalities in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG). A cross-sectional study of 53 patients with MG, who had undergone surgical thymectomy, was conducted at 103 Hospital (Hanoi, Vietnam) and Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) during August 2014 and January 2017. The CT and MRI images of patients with MG were qualitatively and quantitatively (radiodensity and chemical shift ratio [CSR]) analyzed to determine and compare their ability to distinguish thymoma from nonthymoma abnormalities.
