Objective: To assess the correlation between pancreatic quantitative edge analysis as a surrogate of parenchymal stiffness and the incidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF), in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD).
Methods: All consecutive patients who underwent PD at our Institution between March 2018 and November 2019 with an available preoperative CT were included. Pancreatic margin score (PMS) was calculated through computer-assisted quantitative edge analysis on the margins of the pancreatic body and tail (the expected pancreatic remnant) on non-contrast scans with in-house software.

Aims: To assess the characteristics of left atrial appendage (LAA) stump and left atrial (LA) volume after standalone totally thoracoscopic LAA exclusion in 40 patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) and contraindications to oral anticoagulation (OAC), using cardiac computed tomography (CCT) and transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
Methods: Using CCT and TOE, we evaluated correct AtriClip Pro II positioning, the presence and characteristics of the LAA stump and the postprocedural LA volume, at 3 months' follow-up. Stump depth was measured with both CCT and TOE using a new method, based on left circumflex artery (LCX) course.

Background: The purpose of this study was to compare COVID-19 patients' vessel caliber with that of normal lungs and lungs affected by other inflammatory and thromboembolic processes.
Methods: between March and April 2020, 42 patients affected by COVID-19 pneumonia (COV-P) underwent CT scans of the lungs at Verona University Hospital for clinical indications. The lung images of four different groups of patients were compared (normal lung (NL), distal thromboembolism (DTE), and bacterial and fungal pneumonia (Bact-P, Fung-P)) by a radiologist with four years of experience.
Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) encompass congenital and genetic vascular anomalies characterized by complex interlacing of arteries and veins connected by fistulas, which allow rapid and continuous extracardiac right-to-left shunting (RLS). Presenting neurologic manifestations of PAVM include brain abscess and stroke, as the consequence of paradoxical embolism. Although rare, PAVM represents an overlooked cause of cryptogenic ischemic stroke in young adults, being misdiagnosed as patent foramen ovale and a preventable trigger of silent cerebral ischemic changes.

Materials And Methods: In order to achieve this objective, a consensus among experts in imaging of degenerative spine disease (DSD) from Italian radiological societies (SIRM-Italian Society of Radiology, AINR-Italian Association of Neuroradiology) was achieved. The representatives of the Italian inter-societal working group examined the literature produced by European/American task forces on optimizing the study sequences, classification of degenerative disc changes, spondylo-arthrosis, osteochondrosis, synovial and ligament pathologies of the spinal column, and on canal and foraminal stenosis.
